a quick note, the horse that he is on, I have followed for some time, and doesn't act like a jerkoff on the course. I couldn't believe my eyes when I watched this race today.

He shouldn't be allowed on the grounds.
That ride was one for the ages.... the Chicago jockey colony is nothing special, but this guy stands out. I think the only race he has won this meet, he got taken down.

He did win aboard Even Money, in a halfway decent looking maiden race, but has been pretty godawful since.

I saw the title, I saw the author, and I just assumed Scav had dropped a few and donned silks.

Someone had to say it.

Get off the guys back, maybe he thought the whole inside of the track was dead and the 9 path was moving like a conveyor belt.

You can add Sir David Lee Bourque to this list also. I was smiling all the way to the bank when these clowns were betting him down to 8/5 in the 2nd race yesterday.

And it's funny because I've tended to have middle of the road feelings about Geroux, I don't think he's a really terrible, bad rider by any stretch of the imagination. And in his defense, it's not like he's losing all his races with the same level of pathetic riding that hurt Tom AD yesterday, he doesn't get that many good horses. Still, I've been more than a bit surprised that he hasn't had a bit more success this meet.

Then again, Inez Karlsson doesn't end up any many good ones, but she seems to be doing just fine.

Geroux was riding 1st call for Mott, which was making those horses not be anywhere near the board. They switched to Campbell/Douglas... and those same horses are now hitting the board with regularity (not all wins, but at least getting a check).

He might be the worst jockey I have ever seen in my young life. Danush Sukie is BETTER. and might I say, and this is going to take alot to type.

SHANE LAVIOLETTE might be better. MIGHT

and I'd probably have to agree with the Lav comment. I also liked that Borque horse bet down... as I was on the winner of that race and was pleased with the higher payout than what it should have been.

While I see where you're going with this line of reasoning, it's not like Mott has exactly been a livewire so far. Mott has been sending out, up to this point, a fair number of horses who were tosses not thanks to Geroux, but thanks to the fact that they weren't good enough in the spot they were in. Geroux didn't cause the vast majority of Mott's lack of success early in the meet, not by a longshot.

I'd be willing to wager that for as awful as he's being made to seem here, that you wouldn't need more than one hand to count his "bad" rides this meet, which is as many hands as you'd need for any run-of-the-mill Laviolette Saturday.

Speaking of which, what has happened to Tony Farina, now that the only trainer who would put him up on decent horses is off the track? His pictures of Biancone with an owner's wife (the only reason I can think of for him being the go-to jock for a major stable) don't have the value they used to.
