$42 to play that course weekdays.

tees are closer, rough is uniform, and greens are slower but the fairways are the same.

san diego is like heaven. i should move there.

that is all fine and dandy....but the way they market it, it makes it seem that anyone can play for that price. They fail to mention it cost a non-resident of San Diego $145 for 18 during the week and $181 on the weekend.

It would be heaven if they didn't have those wildfires n' Padre Fans. The Padre Fans don't even want seats. They just sit on the grass, and let their kids play in(eat) the dirt. They don't seem to mind having to watch the whole game through a chainlink fence. If someone hits a home run out there (in the grassy knoll,) then it's like seeing Primates jumping around at a Zoo. Only rings down there are Onion Rings and intertubes.

Del Mar, The Belly Up, Torrey Pines, and Gas Lamp.

I'll survive the Padre fans

I hacked it around there about 15 years ago on a weekday (with a SD resident). I don't remember what I payed but I do remember being amazed at how cheap it was for a PGA tour venue.

Not sure if anyone saw, but the US Open contest about a 10 handicap not being able to break 100 on the course. John Atkinson (8.2 index) shot 114 last friday at Torrey Pines

The 39yo gentleman also has stage IV inoperable lung cancer....and never smoked.

Not bad for Romo considering the course set-up.

No birdies between the 4 of them and it took 6 hours and 15 minutes to play.
