| Eventhough Benny needed the race it woulda taken a 110 to beat him. Not many horses running that right now going 3/4

couldn't it just be that Benny's the best sprinter in the world? and even though the front-runner may have had a tactical advantage it wasn't enough to overcome his lesser ability compared to the winner?

it was a day filled with some very nice performances, but one that stands out to me is J Be K. He dueled between horses through fast fractions for about five furlongs, before drawing off by about five in less than 1:22 time. someone may have mentioned this but the six furlong split in this race (1:08.78) was faster than the final time of the True North, 1:09.06 that was a big effort.

Zaftig was just plain awesome. Desert Key did manage to run 0.26 seconds faster than Benny The Bull in a pair of races both at the 6f distance - but his trip was candy - still very impressive though. J Be K obviously looked sharp as well.

Piazza de Spagna was not a surprise to me. I had him rated well above the others in that field, with Smart Enuf the only one close. I think he looked so good because the rest of the field was terrible. seriously, there were no other horses that had any kind of late interest
