The logic they have been using is sound but they do seem to be a little worried that there is more underneath which can be a problem. The "natural healing" thing is just talk for the press because there will be very little to no "healing" in a few days but it may be draining which would work in trying to keep an abcess from building up.

Win or lose, I would certainly think that BB will be retired because that quarter crack looks like it needs to be cut out and it would take about 6 months for that hoof to grow back. That horse would not be ready to run until next year. Do you agree?
