It doesn't look fun, I can say that. But also, what do I know...Interesting to hear what Sir Charles has to say |

It isnt pretty. But that being said they have been cutting and working on it. The thing I think is interesting is the decision to leave it open and patch on Friday. The logic they have been using is sound but they do seem to be a little worried that there is more underneath which can be a problem. The "natural healing" thing is just talk for the press because there will be very little to no "healing" in a few days but it may be draining which would work in trying to keep an abcess from building up.

That's not to say that it will necessarily bother the horse. You never know for sure. It's not an exact science. Even if it is does bother him in the race, he may still win because he may be so much the best that even if he regresses by 5 lengths he may still win. |

I see quarter Cracks now and then due to the Number of horses we deal with and what I can see from that picture it does not look to be very big at all. It looks to me that there are only a couple of laces in his foot if that is true it is not a very big.
I am dealing with one right now that has 7 laces in it now thats a big one. And it looks to be in the sam place BB's is. THe colt of ours was never lame on it. The biggest thing like Chuck said we had to wait a little while to patch it to make sure that it was good and dried out. Round Pen |
