Jerry Dybzinski is the trade clincher...BTW Jerry and I were room mates for 2 years when I was a trainer for the Tribe in the 70's. Ah for the bad old days of Cleveland baseball...Municipal Stadium, bad baseball, and owners that couldn't care less. Just like the movie.

No deal unless Lenny Randle is thrown in...

The better Tribe utility infielder...
Jerry Dybzinski, Mike Fischlin, Mike Rouse, Larvell Blanks?? The mysteries are endless. Any trade must also include Johnny LeMaster.

Ah yes, Kuiper and Rick Manning...the mid 70s saviors! (of course Manning was getting it on with Eckersley's wife so they traded Eckersley. well-tuned organization back then!) main course childhood memories..the Oscar Gamble and Dybzinski cards brought tears to my eyes!

Maybe the trade would go if they added a prospect like John Odom.

He wore one glove back then to protect a chronic bone bruise in his index finger. We couldn't pad the bat so we padded a glove to hit with. I don't know where that bat came from. Looks like one of those little league bats they used to give away for bat day to the kids.

In all seriousness....they will never sign Sabbathia..and I don't blame them. The time is now to trade him and restock the minors.
Oh that doesn't make any sense---Wedgie never brings anyone up until they are at least 25 and have been brainwashed into becoming Wedge Players. But they could also package HJ and Byrd...and Dom Dellouise. That should bring maybe this 3rd baseman from Colorado....from what I've heard. They can have Blake and Marte ,too....maybe that would also swing one or two good prospects our way. And then just fire Wedge. YES! |

I thought we were talking about "great" Cleveland Indian players? BTW, I'll take a Corvair over an Edsel anyday...
