I have no inside info other than my clocker. There are quite a few here who talk to as many trainers and owners. etc as I do. Rupert would be on the list of guys who know a great deal about the inside.
You posed the question to me as if I would have any idea. Todd is about the sharpest guy I know of in the business. If he says he doesn't know, and has announced he will be going in the Woodward, I would have to just say I have no idea and we will see whats up next time. heck Euro, behind Steve's BBQ stand about 50-75 feet away is a very narrow path on which they lead over the horses for the race who are walking over to the paddock from the training track barns. Flower walked not 5 feet away from me and he had no sweat, no kidney sweat, and looked a calm happy picture and drew some oohs and ahhs from the crowd. His coat was perfect and he looked a picture of health. he didn't pull up lame, and he never really acted tired during the race or lame. I've watched the replay a few times now and he simply looked disinterested in running. Johnny went all in on him on the turn and he didnt stop dead, just never got running. Its inexplicable and I guess we see what the story is next time out. trust me, hes worth too much as a stallion to keep running if there is a problem and if there was a problem he would already have been retired.

I tell you this much, I am going to hammer him in the Woodward. If the odds are better than 2-1 on the horse I am going to lay down some cash. I am certain he is better than what he displayed last saturday.

Euro so am I but that race is a real red flag. I mean, there is NO explanation for it and I am as puzzled by the lack of effort as anyone. I really don't know what to think at this point. I know what i saw last year, but what i saw last year and what i saw on Saturday were as far apart as you can get.
