All that aside, I'm salivating at the prospect of getting anything over 5-1 on Thousand Words in here.

When I first saw the entries I thought they had given the horse back to Johnson.

Get Funky is a horse who fires sometimes...probably worth putting in the exotics. His last seemed like a prep for this.

I'm hoping Get Funky just keeps Daytona from pulling another Sweet Return-like theft in this (though Get Funky outran his odds last year, too). Beyond the two ridiculous entries (ie PD and Notional), it looks fairly competitive. I wouldn't be surprised to see a blanket finish.

Hyperbaric could put it all together if he holds together (just 5 career starts). If you're looking for holes in Ever A Friend, I find it curious that off his monster Kilroe effort, he gets 3 months to recover before making his next start, but even before this race, Mike Mitchell is already planning another break for the horse afterwards. Considering the way he campaigns his other horses, that raises some question marks. Thousand Words crushed his only turf start in the states, and his form is clouded by the two 7/8s stakes on the main track. I assume Frankel was just desperate to get any horse other than the Latent Heat-wannabe First Defence into the Met Mile.

Yeah...Get Funky will definitely be pressing...and though I am a fan of the horse, his wins have all been pretty much perfect trips. Am hoping he sits right off of Daytona and can hold off the closers...that is if he can get past Daytona. Not an easy spot. Great points about the Mitchell horse....something seems fishy there.
