I don't know why he doesn't run him in the Woody Stephens.

He could win the Belmont if they ran it in two 6F heats.....and Big Brown scratched.

Pretty much. How the connections watched this horse finish in the Wood and in the Derby and thought "more distance", I don't quite understand.

I think Tagg is a great trainer....but doesn't it always seem like he thinks his horses want to go a distance of ground?

they'll be around. i read yesterday that he 'badly flipped' his palate...how do you badly flip it? it's either where it belongs or it's not, right? anyway, an excuse for his followers for his last.

That's a good point. Now that I think of it, I can't remember the last successful sprinter he campaigned.

The only money to be gained is on the exacta and other bets.....

the turn of foot when bbrown hits the burners is nothing short of amazing...

I have been involved in this game for 20+ years and have not seen the burst that this horse puts out.... of course at this point we need to see who is in it.... but for me.... (and I am a very tough sell) Big Brown IS the horse....

we have all become a bet against group since it's been so damn long since we have had a TC winner..... but watch the replays at the top of the stretch from the derby and the preakness..... it is almost amazing when the afterburners kick in..... I have sent a few messages out today about the distance factor... waiting to get them replied to and will reply what I hear...
but for me .... we have a special one here.... Ichibod and Anak have a few factors in their corners.... and at this point fill out my tri....

just my opinion at this point.... good luck at the windows and have a blessed Memorial Day weekend..... Swede...... errrrrr .... Willie

Don't you think the visually impressive turn of foot is a little misleading considering the embarrassing level of competition he's facing?

maybe it's just me, but i don't see anything amazing about big browns ability, or his turn of foot. hell, my dog would look like she had a quick turn of foot vs this group of 3 yo's. i think afleet alex would be comparable, and i don't think he was anything incredible or special.
but then, just think if alex had won the derby and preakness like he did the preakness and belmont. there'd have been 1374 threads about him and his sure tc win leading up to the race in new york.
