Tim...nothing is out yet for this weekend, that I have seen. You obviously know the race I am most looking forward to.

Howard sends out Quest Star in a nice field of turf routers tomorrow in a 100K/OC
Dutrow reals Sabre Baby right back from that off the turf race back on the 4th that Em B. Aye somehow managed to win.

I still cant believe Sabre Baby was bet down to 2/1 in a dirt race given the fact the horse never ran a lick in 5 dirt races. Clearly Dutrow left him in there for a workout. Em b Aye, while not my selection had a way better chance of winning that race than Sabre Baby did. Who in the world was betting Sabre Baby down to 2/1?

Not too interested in the week's races as I dont want to burn any money that I will want to have on Saturday.

yeah...6 lifetime races on dirt and 1 2nd and 1 3rd to show for it, and those were early in his career.

Scavs-

We all know ENglish Channel is a very good horse but even if he was in the Arlington Million, the race would still be wide open. Not sure English Channel has done enough to be a cinch in a race like that. He wont even be a walkover in the Sword Dancer which will be a weaker field. Its not like hes beaten Cacique by a lot, and Relaxed Gesture beat him in the Manhattan, even with a very questionable ride.

If English Channel comes here, he is a lock single along with Showing Up. He wouldn't shorten him up unless he was doing really really well and was a lock. The race is soft as is, and maybe Pletcher is like "Grade 1 is a grade 1"

Showing Up is no lock. Go Between could easily beat him.

If you handicap like you did last weekend with Violette's horse, I will consider this statement a blessing

Its a turf race Scavs. Anything can happen. Although I have never seen any turf horse work out as many perfect trips as English Channel has. In his case, its not luck. Good horses work out good trips. This horse is better than I ever thought but I still dont think hes any kind of layover in either of these races. The Sword Dancer may be a bit far for him, no?

Hard to consider EC a lock if he comes to the Million. As good as he is there are just too many good horses and too many trip issues that have to go right.
Sure he'll be one of the main contenders but I wouldn't chose the Million as a race to lock down on. imo

I agree with the above that it's hard to really talk racing when we don't even know entries yet. English Channel's whereabouts obviously will effect everything in the two big turf races.

You watch Jim, if English Channel shows up here, he is lock city...

1) he isn't going to piss me off two years in a row

2) Pletcher doesn't waste races, and he has said he wasn't coming here and then he is coming, that is telling me that he sees how open it is, throw he throws his nut turf horse in there to grab a Grade 1, nut city

3) Pletcher shouldn't have opened up his trap about not coming because it ruined the surprise I was getting for GPretard now, thus I am not getting it...tough ish...

Also, when does EC get trip issues, there is 1 pace horse in this race, The Tin Man, and he is going to be sitting 2nd the whole time, and pouncing on the turn, you and I have seen this type of trip a million times on Arlington's course.

I just hope he comes because it makes my day alot easier, I heard that it is extremely possible that they are running all three grade 1's back to back to back, which they normally don't do, if they do go ahead and do this, it is SU/ALL(10)/EC for $50($500), keep $100 to bet the rest of the card and get hammered and stand at the window during the Million race, and PRAY to the load that a bomb comes in the middle. If it runs chalk, chalk, chalk I get back 1k, I am down with that...Analysis to come on Friday

Jim, I see you in the paddock on Saturday, you normally stand one specific place....

Last year I was on the left side all the way where they saddle the 1 horse, it was awesome, let me know

That's where I'll be on the left by the one horse and the side where the jockeys come through.
