aaaahh...ok! Horse has won two races, a maiden in Japan and the Peter Pan...as weak as this Preakness field was, I can't believe the Peter Pan was better. BB ran a 1:54.4 today, after Kent pulled him back at least 4 times during the race and had his feet clearly pinned to the floorboard down the stretch...Kent ever lets him loose he may fly. Casino Drive, if the connections don't change their minds, could be part of the lowest exacta payoff in TC history...but boxing isn't necessary!

The Bid won it in 1:54.1,Slew in 1:54.2,Affirmed 1:54.2.
Looks like it could have been faster if like you say Kent let him run.

Foolish? Foolish to compare him to the ones (except for the Bid who should have won..) that went on to win the Triple Crown? Be different if he ran in 1:55.. Then perhaps it would be "foolish"..

i think foolish in the sense that you can't compare todays times to bids for example, since i'm sure the track 29 years ago wasn't the same as today.
