There is no 'or' there. They are slow and distance challenged. Big Brown ran the last two furlongs in 25.25 and Denis of Cork was the only one to make up any ground on him and even he was coming home in 24.97. Anak Nakal plodded up for 7th finishing in an atrocious 26.09. The 'closer' Colonel John finished in 27.17 and still managed to finish 6th.
