First time Kentucky Derby trip I'm just curious how many folks that post here are planning on visiting the derby for the first time this year? A friend and I are heading out that friday evening from here in Oklahoma. I'm looking forward to maybe running into a few of you that post here on the forum board

I'm in sec 128 for both the Oaks and Derby this year. It's my first Oaks and first Oaks and Derby for my sister. I was at the Derby once before when was in college (Day won on Lil E Tee)

Well glad to see some responses! I am pretty excited about making the trek east this year! I live about 20 miles from Will Rogers downs, and about 40 miles or so from Fair Meadows here in Northeast Oklahoma, so I get to see plenty of the Quarter horses run, but its sure gonna be nice to see some Thoroughbreds go at it live!

Well the infield and padock area is where my friends and I will be for derby day. I just took a look at the weather service forecast office in Louisville and looks like storms are a pretty good bet Friday afternoon and over night clearing out with a slight chance of showers Saturday afternoon.
