maybe the whole point of the cashless system is for tax purposes. They either want to help you prove your losses to the gubment or... tax you on every dime you win. That's it a governemnt plot to defeat gambling
Maybe they have less to maintain with paperless. No one has to fill the machines with paper. a huge plus would be the ability to cancel your bet. The Auto-tote machines now allow you to cancel your bet without going to a teller. Unless it is some monster bet that was made to screw with the pools. I almost never cancel a bet - but lets say they are loadin the gate and there is a late scratch of some speed horse that changes the complexion of the race or some other situation that causes you to cancel. If the cashless system doesn't allow for that..
