Default The "Flakes" opens today...first race in honor of Ross Morton

Spring is officially here with the opening of Finger Lakes racetrack in Farmington N.Y. the first race of the meet will be in honor of the late Ross Morton where there will be no race call. It will be quite different not hearing his voice.

A fitting tribute. I hope the flakes has a great year. A very important track in the scheme of things in NY racing.

I have never heard of this sort of tribute, but I think that is really, really cool. Classy way to honor a race caller...
