How about this little gem that Mike Pegram shoved down our throats at Saratoga a few years ago..? They are STILL available...

just curious why Steve Asmussen bobblehead is a bad giveaway?? the guy is probably the all time leading trainer there, plus he trains the best horse in the world.

yeah it would be better if the bobble head was holding a test cup for his horse to pee into

How about this 'classic':

One Ebay seller's description:
"I HAVE USED THESE AS PLANTERS OR VASES OR MUGS OR PEN HOLDERS -- THEY ARE PERFECT FOR ANY OF THESE USES."

Shoot - the Dee Tee Chuckies are cooler than that!

And can be used as a planter, or vase, or a mug, or a pen holder ...

Personally I like the Seabiscuit mug/cup/planter. This is the one that gets my vote.

I waiting for the Tom Durkin "Bobble Belly"

The Pegram plate is the worst. No wonder one of them sits in the entrance hall of my condo building in Saratoga-who would want to knick that.

Actually the overall quality of the giveaways went down the drain last year. Friends showed me an Arlington lawnchair and the Saratoga one sucked and could barely take my weight.

The previous Saratoga umbrellas which lasted 3 months of London rain-the 07 ones collapse after 1-2 uses

Was NYRA the 1st to do giveaways? I got the distinct impression last year from someone fairly high-up that they'd wished they'd never started doing them
