Perhaps it is, but since we have nothing to compare it to at this point, I'm not ready to annoint Smart Strike as a sire of sires (YET.) I used Tenpins as an example because he is also out of a Deputy Minister mare (as Curlin is.) Obviously, Curlin's book will be filled with nothing but the best of mares and he'll have every chance at proving his worth as a sire (whereas Tenpins probably doesn't), but just because Smart Strike is a great sire, that doesn't mean that his sons will be. Sorry, just trying to look at it from another viewpoint.
