It is $1183 for a dollar. Not that I am complaining but I thought it would be more.

Curlin looks GREAT, Head up, ears forward, tail up and he is just the picture of what a champion should look like going into this race.

I was wrong, you all were right....

Still don't have to like him though.

He's not my HOY but okay... well done.

After Robbie turned him loose he went by and lead by about 2 . looked like he started to relax, Robbie then hit him a couple of times to remind him that the race wasnt over and then he kept drawing off.Dont think the whip was necesary but it proved that he does respond.

Yes, congrats, Paul!

Wish we could see Curlin back in the US. Wish we could see what more good 3-year-old colts turn out to look like at 4 or 5.

good point.. i was thinking about this myself especially when Meydan opens in 2010 with a $10million purse. surely that might make a few owners think twice about retiring straight after a 3yo career.

I hope so Brock, but I doubt it! Anyway, a wonderful performance by Curlin...who did he beat? Every horse brave enough (or foolish enough) to challenge him. Hard to believe that he's only been running slightly over a year...had they not rushed him to the Derby he could easily be undefeated (I'm basing that on him being a lot fresher for the Belmont had he started in the Preakness rather than the Derby)...conjecture I know but this is a really really nice animal!
