He was always very well respected when he was coaching ODU. As a side note...one of the ref's calling the game today, Les Jones, is an old friend. He lives not too far from a golf course I used to manage in VA. He used to come out 2 nights a week and we would play a quick 9 holes before dark. Classy guy as well...and one of the funniest SOB's alive.
