that is not accurate.
it is approximately 2.5 years in human equivalent only after the horse has reached maturity.
first year of life= 12 human years
2nd year= 7 human years
3rd, 4th and 5th year= 4 human years
all subsequent years are equal to about 2.5 years in human terms.
