I don't know Cannon....

I'm pretty well aware of the positives about Friends Lake myself - and I still expected him to suck as a stallion.

He was an awful race horse. I have no idea where the speed in these drills are coming from with his babies.

He was no superstar but there is more than meets the eye concerning his handling.

I was not high on him initially but he has thrown nice horses who seem to have a lot more speed than he did.

He has an unraced half brother by Storm Cat named Rainmaker - stands for $1,500 in Louisianna.

Rainmaker actually had a filly sell for $77K, the sales topper at a Texas yearling sale.

The Cuvee's look pretty damn fast - but they certainly figured to be nothing if not fast.

I believe I watched this same filly work a furlong in 10 flat at OBS March.

It's bad enough the Friend's Lake's are working fast - but his blacksheep brother is even getting fast ones.
