I live in NY and did not vote for Spitzer. After the election I kept an open mind and figured if he was honest about his campaign pledges he would be a good Governor. After the first 100 days it became obvious he would not live up to his words. I never expected getting caught up screwing around with hookers would be his downfall.

I personally want my politicians happy. A happy politician is a good politician. I think that prostitutes should be legal for politicians.

Last week, federal prosecutors arrested four people in connection with an expensive prostitution operation called the Emperors Club. The club charged up to $5,500 an hour for one if its prostitutes, who were rated on its Web site on a scale of one to seven diamonds.

Aside from the obvious moral implications of a married man doing this, is there a compelling reason why this is illegal in the first place? What if he wasn't married? Yes, it would be illegal, but should it be?
