Agree more horses the better it is for racing.

i thought it was a heck of a race, with drama from start to finish. no records set, no huge imposts, but a fine battle between two horses. they won't go down in history or anything, but it was fun to watch.

It was a great stretch duel and a fun race.

Nobody is pretending these are superstars, but they're pretty good, and they put on a helluva show yesterday. May there be more throughout the year.

i think they both could be superstars in this weak division...
no one knows if curlin will return from dubai the same horse, i think especially grasshopper could be great.

i was very surprised with the speed Q.C showed....... i dont know if it was the blinkers or if he just loves the fairgrounds. bottom line is it was a fine performance, it seems that whatever a horse does some folks always want to down grade it

happen to be listening to the down the stretch radio show on sirius on saturday and they thought his chances were literally laughable and made it sound like he should be 99-1. of course we are all wrong more than right in horeracing but i thought their assessment was odd considering who entered the horse

In my opinion the blinkers were the difference for him that day, he basically put Garrett into the race early on without being asked, really it was quite surprising to see him that close to the pace that day, the best comparison I remember this happening to a horse with a simular profile was Aptitude. When Frankel put the blinkers on him he raced like a different horse. I can see Circular Quay having a good year in a otherwise weak division with the exception of Curlin if he can run races like he did at the Fairgrounds.

Not to mention it was for 500K, not a bad payday for a race this early on. Forgot to mention can't remember if Circular Quay ever raced with blinkers on but he looked like a different horse yesterday.

it was a nice payday, and he surprised me with his tenacity. i really didn't think he had it in him. so many former derby starters end up flopping, i wasn't sure what to expect. it was a nice surprise.

I didn't think he wanted any part of 1 1/8 miles. In fact, I didn't think he was much horse at all.

Sometimes it's good to be wrong.

I thought he didn't want any part of John Velazquez or Mike Smith.

I hope he hold together. 6 Native Dancers, 3 Raise A Natives can give some talent but also lots of problems.
