I watched the replay of the race in question several times since I bet #10. It looked as if the jock had the inability to switch the stick from his right to his left hand and continued to whip the horse's right hip causing him to veer sharply inward. I initially thought a seagull was involved, but the camera angle likely made it appear that way. The jock really "bailed out" in my opinion and made little effort to stay aboard. Tough loss for a horse who was clearly the best yesterday.

jockey was leaning right and the horse went left and he had nothing under him. Don't think he had a choice. you thkink he could have held on to something and hung on until after the wire to fall off?
