EASY with Tulowitski, ONE YEAR....The only guy I didn't know about was Hawpe....I have been a Helton fan for a while and Holiday always gets my attention because he is so bald already.

You could make the argument of Carlos Guillen over Tulowitzki but at worst he's the sixth best SS in baseball at this point and certainly has more room to improve than Guillen.

He is already better than any SS in the history of the Cubs with the exception of Ernie Banks (of course) and maybe Joe Tinker

I guess Bill Dahlen but that was before 1900. TT will be better than Joe Tinker too.

He was born in my hometown.....well, across the river in Nelliston. He has the fourth longest hitting streak (42) behind Rose & Joe D and should be in the Hall of Fame. I got a T-206 Brooklyn Nationals card from 1909

What makes you think he wouldn't? If nothing else his defense alone puts him in the top tier.

I can't believe that two half way intelligent people are getting this nuts over Troy Tulipulitz.

Lets take it easy until this year. He produces same numbers or exceeds, then you guys can get on his horse...

Wow, he had a .987 fielding percentage with that range factor? That is absolutely sick. Ozzie Smith in 1982 is the only defensive season by a SS that even compares to what Tulowitzki did last year. And the kid is only 22.

That's true. I guess anytime your range factor gets almost as low as Jeter it is time for a position switch.

And if you factor in defense Tulowitzki moves up ever further. Here are their range factors last year:

Tulowitzki - 5.33
Rollins - 4.36
Ramirez - 4.09
Reyes - 4.05
Guillen - 3.88
Jeter - 3.80

He utterly dominates the others when it comes to defense.
