Handily or not, 35 flat at Calder is moving in the am for Illini Nation. If it gets sloppy, the dam was 3 for 8 on off tracks and her babies are 1 for 3.... I'm not trying to talk you into spending more money, just be careful... |

This 3 year-old colt by Hennessy out of Chart Topper bought $150,000 last year at the Fasig Tipton 2 year old training sale in March. He worked out a good 10.2 for that sale. The workouts are excellent as already noted and in addition to the 35.0 he worked 5F in 1:01.4. My sense is that he can run....
The field he is facing is not much with the 5 horse the only one who has run that might challenge him. Would not expect 3-1 but hopefully 3-2. The only hesitation i have is if Rosie gets caught on him like she did on Amazing a similar first time starter that she got caught on the rail even though he was much the best a few weeks ago.... My sense is that he will go straight to the lead and from what i hear Rosie is better on the front end... Straight exacta 3/5 and light exacta 5/3. Win bet on #3 if odds are above 3/2.... Best of luck, PSH

Illini's slow break cost him there. Not sure if he was gonna get to the winner, but the slow break didn't help at all.
Will be about 3/5 next out. |
