All I heard from folks I know is that he is a real looker, who has not yet been tested at any distance. A good 1f doesn't even mean he'll be very good at 6f. They said he could be anything from nothing to great, but Pletcher was definitely feeling th epressure to prove the owners right.

pressure be dammed. the horse doesn't care what he went for, and really, no one else should except the rich guys' accountants. we all know price means nothing in the end, except maybe for how big an ego the winning bidder possesses. not like these horses abilities and talent rises exponentially with the purchase price.

The Green Monkey can definitely run. I don't know if he's a stakes horse or anything like that. But as long as he stays sound, he should be able to break his maiden pretty quickly. |
