He could fly back over tonight and still win that race. |

I thought he looked good, but looked like he certainly was needing one on the gallop out. I just didnt expect him to need any encouragement today putting away up and downers, maybe I expected too much

Only Dubai Millenium and Invasor have broke the 2 minute barrier there. With how easily he went I was expecting something like 2:04 or 2:05. |

I think it's a fair guess, considering how small the margin of victory was, that the track was very fast. |

"We wanted to save a bunch for the World Cup," Albarado said in a post-race interview. "I just wanted him to settle. He needed this race mentally as well as physically, and I think we accomplished what we wanted to today."

Very often it's easy to read something, too much, etc., into a race like this. You go back and forth. He did what he was expected and had to do -- I would think. I have no idea what they were looking for.
About the effort, urging, etc. -- what was this his 9th or 10th lifetime start? Who knows, he might be shaking off the rust, or needs encouragement. Nice race. I enjoyed it. Eric |
