Maybe not, but man is he a nice horse. He just essentially WORKED a mile faster than most 3YO stakes are being run. The more Derby preps I see, the more I think he may be able to hang on the 10F. This is NOT the 2007 class by any means.

Have you seen how bad he wings that front left, Phil? I dunno... I'm a little concerned. Believe me, I'd like to see him go all the way in the Derby, but the longer he runs, the more he wings that leg out and I don't like that one bit.

I've seen him run live twice, once at Saratoga in his allowance win (which I thought he was the most impressive 2yo at SAR, wrote that here somewhere...) and at the BC. Never noticed the winging thing, interesting observation but plenty of really good horses have had funny running styles, no? Seattle Slew, for one, was all over the place with his front legs.

I predicted a victory by 8 lengths. He won by 7.5. Obviously the horse is sore.

I agree. Right now, there are few 3YO's fast enough to keep up with him, if he's loose at all or gets even reasonable fractions on Derby Day, I believe he can carry that speed the extra furlong needed.
