If ever there was a walkover race and all the horse had to do was jog around the track, he would still probably race the poor horse in the 5 path all the way around.

Smith is a complete incompetent... yet for years, McGaughey, Mott, Jerkens, etc. continued to use him on some of their best horses.. makes sense..

You don't ride as many good horses as Smith has, or win as many stakes as Smith has, or win back-to-back eclipse awards etc.. if you're a terrible rider..
