I wish that were true. However, we are finding that synthetic surfaces themselves vary from track to track. Santa Anita is the synthetic surface nightmare so far. I believe the rest of the USA/Canada all weather are performing well.

it definatly didnt help del mar w/ fatalities..

synthetic tracks are a waste of money

There is a lot of room for improvement and I believe we will see improvements to current all weather surfaces. This is a good thing.

This barn prides itself in finding problems really early.He has been able to do well with horses with a bowed tendon because they find them so early.If he says it's the start of a saucer fracture,then it's like a nagging yeast infection(versus your pregnancy scenario.)Dinner anyone?

In listening to Jim Rome today on his radio show, it sounded like he and a bunch of professional athletes (Billy Koch and Tom Brady were the two I heard mentioned) were going to buy the horse before finding out he got hurt.

Anyone else hear all of the details?
