Or she may be turning into one of those horses that runs second, no matter the competition. I haven't watched the replay, but it looked to me live like her transmission slipped as she got to the leader and she slowed down.

He waited too late to move on her. He just kept her cold behind traffic in the turn and somehow lucked into a hole and then still waited. Black Mamba definitely wants more than a mile but he botched that ride.
