Late $ & BIG odds changes

It happens all the time. At turfway, you will see on a daily basis odds drop from 5/2 to 4/5 in the last minute before the gates open. I've given up win bets at those tracks for that reason and if I do play them I just stick to multirace wagers.

Wait till you look at the tote board when the gate opens and see your horse at 2/1 and look back after he wins and see 4/5.

Word around here is that Arlington is updating their tote system to possible eliminate this issue. Haven't heard details but I guess it has been talked about
