I see selective reading applies on this board; I have said over and over again that it's way too premature to call Bernardini great or to compare him to great horses, but I guess you didn't notice that. Fine - you think he's not that good? Whatever.

So much for this board being a great place for debate, getting on my case because I like a horse. It's extremely insulting to imply that I can't be unbiased because I like a horse, but I'm starting to develop a thick skin.
I guess I wasn't the only one that saw the hypocrisy in that. The fact is saying it about a 3yr old is a lot more legit than saying it about some 2yr old with 2 races.

You are 100% correct about this horse too. Just don't expect anyone to admit they were wrong when he wins the BC Classic by 7 or 8.

Argh! I don't think anyone on here actually thinks Bernardini *isn't* good. We just don't want to anoint him yet. If I've misunderstood you, my apologies.

exactly....

I'll admit I'm wrong....I have no issues with Bernardini...he's a nice horse.

But, I just have a long standing policy that I don't like first against older....when a 3yr old takes on older horses...especially the BCC for the first time. He hasn't been challenged at all to this point...I wish the Preakness would have went better and I'd definitely have a better idea on where I stand with this horse.

...at least I'm consistent...lol

Unless long time is how good Like Now looked in that Gotham romp earlier this year, then your version of "long time" is a lot shorter than mine.

I thought Like Now only won the Gotham by a very small amount? How is that a romp? And that race clearly turned out to be a fluke. I hope your not comparing Bernardini to Like Now? I wouldnt go saying he is better or as good as Ghostzapper (yet) but he is a lot better than Like Now. And he is only getting better. The upside on Bernardini is freakishly good.

the frustrating part is that in no way have I compared Bernardini to any great horses or given him any award; I have said several times that it's way too premature for that. Naturally, these parts of my posts have been ignored. At this point, it makes no difference what I think about Bernardin because my words will be twisted. I'll let others debate on this; I'm tired

I know your a huge AP Indy fan so naturally youl love this horse, if it's any consolation to you I am in agreement with you. I think Bernardini is a seriously exciting horse, it isn't what he beats, it's how he beats them. I am really taken with the class of this horse, not only is he an absolutely spectacular looking horse, but his fluid motion and length of stride is a thing of beauty, just an overall beautiful horse with that classic ''look of eagles'' about him.
