Thanks for the birthday wishes guys.
This sure is some birthday. I am a PhD candidate and instructor at Northern Illinois University where apparently 15-18 people were just shot. The crazy part for me is that this semester I am actually in the lecture hall (every Monday and Wednesday) where the shooting apparently took place . Needless to say, I'm a little freaked right now, although so far I believe that everyone I know is okay. I sure hope it stays that way.
