Bottom line, Gary Stevens wants to be a racing analyst, not a handicapper/tout. He wants to analyze what's happening on the track, not put together Pick 4/6 tickets, as TVG was having him do.

while I harbor resentment for what
Jerry did to Smary Jones in the Belmont, I think that Mr. Stevens is a good actor and perfect for television. When you have ridden so many horses, albeit Gary or Jerry, you're going to make some enemies. I like Gary on HRTV doing color. Jerry might be better at picking winners. Just a thought.![]() |
