probably those stupid electronic machines giving fits.

we used paper ballots til a recent special election. they made us use the others instead, altho paper was there for back up. i asked for a paper ballot, but they said "NO".
in maryland, we had always used those that you push a lever for your choices and then flip a handle. never an issue there--well, other than mikulski keeps getting re-elected!

simple is generally better.
