There are 2 tracks where this guy is waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy better than the rest. One is Torrey Pines, and the other is Firestone(American Express top 30,or whatever that boring thing is called.)The difference between him n' the rest of the world is incredible on those 2 courses.

Buick 2008...1st(-19)
Buick 2007...1st(-15)
Buick 2006...1st(-10)
Buick 2005...1st(-16)

There is a reason he avoids Hawaii, and Palm Springs(and waits to start in San Diego.)It's not just by chance. It doesn't tell ya as much as ya think.Dubai will tell ya where he is at(it's not his favorite, but he has won there.)He goes for the 5 or 10 mil from the sheiks(not because he likes the course.)That's why I say wait to see if he dominates there. If he does, then it could be a record breaking year.See ,that Stenson guy is warming up with a 65 in Qatar today(to come 2nd place.)I think he prefers Dubai, and he only had 2 bogeys in 72 holes this week.I think he already beat Tiger in Dubai. So,that's what I'm saying. It's a good test for Tiger.Last year in Dubai(after shooting -15 at San Diego)

1 STENSON Henrik SWE -19
2 ELS Ernie RSA -18
3 FASTH Niclas SWE -17
3 WOODS Tiger USA -17

The year before,Tiger got a gift from ELS,and he won the Dubai Desert classic in a playoff. It's not a gimmee for him.

What gets me about golf, bowling, and tennis is that the crowd has to be quiet so that the player can concentrate. Well what is the difference between getting ready to hit a golf shot or a serve and getting ready to pitch a ball, hit a ball, shoot a free throw or call out a play in football. All require great concentration. So why can't a crowd get all loud and start heckling a golfer when he/she is standing over a putt?

The three you mentioned are traditionally individual sports. We accept loudness against a team, but not as much against one person(except that a- hole BONDS.)

Gotcha. I have never played golf or tennis so I really do not understand the sports.

In the above, there can be noise, but you want a consistent sound though. Nothing like playing a hole along a heavy populated road and anticipating what may come

Home team fans in basketball should be quiet when the opponent is shooting a free throw. Then make a startling noise as the shooter just about ready to shoot.
