When it's REALLY hot in L.A.,it doesn't matter where you're at.It is just hot everywhere.That 1st week or so of last September was just bad everywhere.I live maybe 3 MILES from Hwd Park.Trust me,it gets hot.Ocean doesn't protect ya when it gets really hot in L.A. THE DIFFERENCE IS THAT THE VALLEYS are almost always hot in the SUMMER.Now, imagine it's 1985 .It's August.You're in the San Gabriel Valley. You live within say 1000 feet of an on-ramp to the most used freeway in the San Gabriel VALLEY. You run your A.C. all day,but can't afford to run it 24/7. Now mix in a guy who is slicing everybody up in the middle of the night...Scalping people...cutting pentograms in them...Welcome to the hell that was the NIGHTSTALKER.
