From the new Aussie draining technique, which has been likened to M and M's, to the softball size rock removal this morning, to the lack of draining, its obvious Santa Anita has made a step forward in racing surfaces. All involved should be commended

at any rate, i hope santa anita has found a solution to their problem and that the season ends much better than it began.

I so hope this works. I was an impressionable child of 10 when my father and grandparents took me here for my first visit to racing. My father was a lousy handicapper but someone at his work had given him a tip and so we went. I wanted to go to Knotts Berry Farm instead.
Should have.
