Manley probably wanted to make jockey porn films for the extra income he talked of bringing in and Jesse wanted to know why there weren't more black jocks, owners, announcers etc etc etc.
Probably bugged him that hispanics get all the work and why they don't have black humans working with dark colored horses. Only good thing that would have come of it was Jesse being out of town more often. Only reverend I know of who suffered no negative consequences having a child out of wed lock with a woman younger than his children but I guess I'm getting racist now.
