We'll be running mules at our county fair out here at the end of the month, I would imagine. They usually do.

I couple of years ago my Dad was out and I made plans to take a long lunch and meet him at the fair track. He had caught a nice tri the day before and was pretty pumped up to play live the next day.

I ran in, and the "action gambler" in me took over the "educated gambler" in me, and I just threw some money down on the 2nd favorite as I ran to meet my Dad at the starting gate.

I looked at the program and form for the first time and was shocked to find I had just bet on a mule.

My first words to my Dad were, "I can't believe I just bet on a frickin' mule!"

I lost, btw.
