i just think it's a shame that so many are so irresponsible as to bring a child into the world when they aren't ready to raise one. if you want to screw up your own life, hey-go for it. but to bring an innocent into a rotten situation is the ultimate in selfishness imo. and money doesn't mean a damn thing. money doesn't raise a child, love it, or teach it right from wrong.

Bravo! I couldn't agree more. And that is the problem---no one THINKS. Just do what feels good at the time without a thought to consequences, which ends up involving the life of another human, who usually ends up brought up with the same uh, 'values.'

well, allow me to step in for a second.
i had a child when i was 17 and all these years i have put up with the stares and whispers behind my back.
you know what, shite happens. it happens to everyone in some way, shape, or form.
but people should not always be defined by the situations they put themselves in, but rather in the way they handle those situations.
unfortunate, well, that depends on your perspective i guess.
but i do get a kick out of all the degenerates here passing judgement, lol.

It is pretty funny, isn't it?

I agree with your above post, by the way.

i got married when i was 18, and tony was 21. had our first child nine months and one week later. of course we were told it would never last. that was 22 years ago, and still going strong.

and yeah, you're right--it is what you do with the situation.

but it pains me to see so many be selfish, go from relationship to relationship with no cares about how it affects the kids--oh, they'll be ok...

Must be nice to be you. Three posts....one is this laugher and another condemned a man with a substance abuse problem who died.

You must be pretty upset that Dubya only has a year left in office. What are you gonna do then.....blow up some Planned Parenthood offices?

Now why should my post upset you so much? "Must be nice to by you." It is. You sound jealous. Please don't flatter yourself by thinking you are going to imtimidate me, I'll post when, where, and what I want, and I don't care what you don't like.

I hate Dubya and I would open MORE planned parenthood offices if it were up to me.

Intimidate you? You must be kidding. I hope you continue to post more of your holier than thou closed minded BS. In fact, I hope that it continues to dominate your posting as well.

I just want you.....to be you.

I don't think this is as much judgemental as it might be ironic. There is an irony here as it relates to the family, the book on parenting that the mother was coming out with, older sister's problems, issues, etc. Like it or not, when you are a celebrity and have some part of your life -- most often more than you could ever want -- in the public eye, there are always going aspects that put you, your actions, etc. -- your life -- into question.

I work with many professional athletes, entertainers, celebrities, etc. who often live and speak out of each side of their mouth. And of course, the opposite is true to, as there are others who live their live as they are.

In this case, I do not think this is an indictment of anyone or everyone who gets/got pregnant at 16 or any age for that mattter. Married, single, etc. doesn't matter to me either. I don't have an issue with that. I do think there is an irony, perhaps amusing or funny to some, as to what has gone on with the Spears family. However, I don't think it is taking pleasure at someone else's misfortune. I am not speaking to those people, nor will I ever. I don't think those people need anyone to comment to them. They are the way they are regardless.
