Western PA...fond memories for me.
About an hour north of Pittsburgh is a town called New Castle. A few miles north is New Wilmington. Now, we're talking "small town". Nearby is Volant.
Every weekend, the Amish would bring their trotters to the stretch of road that connects New Wilmington with Volant... buggy races.
Kind of like what happens when you give your teenage kid the family car for the afternoon.
Friends and I would watch them go from our vantage on a hill side, with binocs, and make side bets. I wonder if they still do it.
I guess racing is where you find it.
Once you find Saratoga, not much can compare.

Yup,
Small world indeed. Spent my freshman year at Westminster, then transfered.
Paul, I don't think the Amish bet. We sure did!

I don't think she lives in Kentucky. She lives in NC. And Saratoga Springs isn't named for Saratoga Industrial. I guess researching it on the net isn't sufficient for you, so think what you want.
