A shame to see an old warrior like that dropped to this level. Hopefully he can get home safe.

He has been running at this level already, 3 times, winning two back about a month ago. Maybe the horse enjoys racing. The same trainer has him that claimed him for 30k earlier in the year still has him. Shouldn't the owner be entitled to try to get at least some of his money back if the horse is able to run?

I didn't mean anything negative about him still running...Obviously it's what he wants to do. I just want him to continue on safely and he does deserve a good home when he's done.

Uh oh, may have to rethink that opinion.

Seriously though, while a solid performer in his day, you can find horses just like him all over the country in the lower claiming ranks as they age. They are great for the game and I love when they stick around.

too bad they couldn't get Napravinik/Karamanos/Rose/or Pino.

Geovanny hasn't exactly caught my eye at that track.

Good to see Luis Garcia in the lineup though.

Scott Lake is basically the equivalent of a Bruce Levine or Gary Contessa in Laurel's low claimers... The other day his 1st call Abe Castellano actually rated off of a speed duel - without PPs the 1 'scares' me

Fogelsonger can win for you as well. No doubt.

I was trying to handicap a little there to mixed success. Napravinik really impressed me as a judge of pace. Speed duel or Slowww route and she was always well positioned. Very consistent on the cheaper races.

I haven't looked at Laurel in a couple of months - is Rosie back now that Delaware's meet is over? I wish she'd stick on the Maryland racing circuit year-round.

Just for closure, it looks like he was scratched.

Two other horses were claimed out of the race.
