Very interesting interview with Joe Allen. Insofar as his regally bred sire Desert God (Fappiano/ Blush With Pride- Blushing Groom) is concerned, looking at his conformation pic one can see he is downhill. He appears off balance physically which may explain his unraced status.

However, with the right physical type of mare the sky is the limit with a sire carrying the royal genes of Desert God.

I'm rooting for the 4, because that is the horse I'll bet. Otherwise, I hope the fave wins.

Another win for the undefeated filly. I had to settle for the consolation $10 exacta.

I was more impressed with the 2yo Monarchos colt that won the 7th.
He was 3-wide just like PP, but he was still a half second faster than her at the finish. Now, granted he was carrying less weight, but for a 2yo running at that track, I thought it was a strong performance.

Hopefully in a real race but more likely they are waiting for Sunland to card a N14X Allowance for New Mexico breds for her to get another cheap win.

That's a totally cheap shot. Joe Allen was going to retire her after LAST year, but gave Joel Marr a chance to keep winning with her. He was ready to retire and breed her next year as well but will keep racing her with the streak intact. She's a New Mexico bred and Allen and Marr would be silly running her anywhere else right now. She's beating "similar" and is simply better than anything she's ever faced. Winning 14 races in a row against any company is an accomplishment of no small note.

Her next start is March 23, a defense of her '07 win in the $100,000 Sydney Valenti, a 1 mile handicap for 3+ F&M's at Sunland. And her win the other day was typical of her... She does whatever she is asked to do to finish in front. There's nothing cheap about her beating horses giving away 8-15 pounds.

What she's done is admirable but there is no way this streak should be treated as a monumental accomplishment until she takes on open company in graded stakes. She may be good enough to do so but until then this streak is overrated in my opinion. Seeing Lebron James dominate a bunch of middle school girls wouldn't do much for me either, even with 15 pounds strapped to his back.
