chuck, you don't have to convince me. i agree that many are meaningless now. but they aren't considered meaningless to those schools. you have to convince them.
But what does a 8 or 16 team playoff have to do with those bowls? Why would they not exist. The bowls are seperate from the NCAA. If they will make money and ESPN or somebody else will cover the game they will exist.
