Her favorite Austrian is Freud, huh? I guess that's a better choice than Archduke Ferdinand or Hitler (whom I believe was born in Austria).

I don't even think I can name another Austrian.

I guess Mozart and Schwarzenegger don't count for much.

Look, I've had about eight vodka-tonics tonight. And I'm a child of divorce. Cut me some slack, Jack.

LMAO!

Can't say I've lit into the vodka tonight, but the cabernet was calling my name and I felt that it was imperative that I answer.

Just thought of another one... Martin Buber.

Did anyone read "I and Thou" in Philosophy class?

My father.. for one!

You guys caught on to Mozart already, but Haydn, Strauss and Schubert were all Austrians... From Cinema, besides 'Arnold' , you can count an unparalleled list of geniuses including von Sternberg, Otto Preminger, Billy Wilder, Eric von Stroheim and Fritz Lang ("M", Metropolis).. about as important a list of visionaries as you could assemble.. (And don't forget actress/scientist Hedy Lamarr too!)

Cajun mentioned Buber (!), but I'd put Kafka ahead of him on the writer list... Freud yes, but also important child psychologist/author Bruno Bettelheim and many more..

Some others of note people might not recall or realize as Austrian: the von Trapps ('Sound of Music'); Wolfgang Puck; Theodore Herzl and Simon Weisenthal..

Well la-de-fricken-da, look at the big brain on bread! He leads Meet The Pros, AND can recite the Ten Most Famous Austrains. How about naming the Ten Most Famous Austrian-bred Thoroughbreds, smart guy? I'll bet you can't name five.

Believe it or not... I LOVE the drink. Must have had 10 Frank's & Grey Goose down at GP. It's a tempered version of Red Bull, just the right amount of caffeine and sugar.

I'd hate to see your bar tab. Those things were $9 a pop. I really didn't get a taste of Frank's since it was so drowned out by vodka (which it damn well better be for $9 six ounce glasses filled with ice).

Must have been the vodka kickin' in kinda thing right there...I myself was wondering about the saying, but thought it may have been an "Austrian slang" saying of something

Who's Brett? You mean this is an actual saying that someone other than my old football coach uses?
