- He reached for his machete under his bed when he first heard sounds. I think he had weapons issues previously and maybe this shows he was taking it seriously? Not many athletes that I've heard of would not have a gun nearby if their house had been broken into 8 days earlier. - His 1 year old child was in the house at the time....Could have been even worse - When his girlfriend tried to call 911 the phone was dead because the lines had been cut...very Cape Fear like. She then had to use her cell phone which caused a delay in the emergency response. - His house was completely walled in and alarmed to the nines....How did they get in? Is that why the phone lines were cut...to silence the alarm?

How many people would know that a member of the Washington Redskins would be at him home in Miami on Sunday night and not up in Washington treating his injury? How many nights a season does an out of town player get to sleep in his own bed? The guy knew Taylor was home and went after him. If it was a simple robbery, he would have waited until no one was in the house and quietly gone about his business without this mess. |

and the break in from 8 days prior, the intruder left a knife on the bed. If that aint a sign someone was looking for him and that they would be back...I don't know what is.

It's a shame that he resided so damn far from the "golden hour" hospital. Had he gotten the proper treatment in a more haste fashion, he'd probably be alive to tell the story. Unless the POS criminal that did him in runs off at the mouth, bragging about it, we may never know the full story on why he was killed.
Cannon, good points. Noone else injured, the house remained unransacked this time around. All tell tale signs of a personal grudge. The first time around was probably a trial run to see the police response time, to see if the house was alarmed, and to get a good feel for the house. Not to mention to send a message by leaving the knife. I'm still shocked. To have it happen at a club is one thing. To have your house invaded is a whole different bowl of wax.
