Tennesse/Cal L

GA/OK St W
GA/GA Tech W
Aub/S FL L
Aub/K ST W
Miss St/WV L

That is the SEC vs the other major conferences
7 wins 7 losses

Hardly dominant or clearly the best

I didnt even bring up UL Monroe

Of course you may choose to ignore the results of actual games and continue to rely on your personal polls and other such ranking tools. It would probably qualify you to be on the Board of the NCAA football playoff committee.
So what conference is better?
The best football I have seen this year is in the SEC.
The best athletes I have seen all around are in the SEC.

And I am a little 12 fan.

These are the 2 dumbest statements i have seen yet. The best athletes all around? Do they have a Punt, Pass and Kick contest at halftime of the games?

How does one determine that the LSU/Tennessee game is better football than the Missouri/Oklahome game?

1. Yes indeed. I have surveyed the punters and kickers of the SEC and this of course makes them better athletes.

2. You set up your own comparison. I never said anything about this one comparison.

Just tell me what conference is better than the SEC?

I give up.
The SEC is the greatest, all the non conference games they lost were fixed, the LSU/Arky game was a set up to get the great Houston Nutt to Ol Miss to make them a top team too so that the top 25 will now become the SEC and the 13 other pretty good, not that athletic teams. I am in awe of the greatness of the athletes and coaching and fans of the SEC.

Actually I would say that Mizzou, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas Tech and Texas A&M match up pretty well with LSU, Tennessee,GA, FL, Ark, and Auburn

Oklahoma/LSU
Mizzou/GA
Kansas/TN
Texas/FL
Texas Tech/Ark
Texas A&M/Auburn

Pretty close

Well if the SEC is so much the superior conference it is only natural to assume that the conference championships would be wildly in favor of the SEC. Of course maybe you are arguing that the weaker SEC teams are better than the weaker other conference teams....which you would be correct in assuming and by doing so make this a more irrelevant argument than I thought possible.

anybody know the records of the conferences for all the BCS games going back to its first year? which was maybe 1999 or 2000? that would be a good indicator or supremacy.

No its not.

No, Im arguing that as a whole, there is no conference better than the SEC. Its clear that the best team in the Nation, or the two best teams is anything but clear this year at this point. I would put Ohio State maybe.... and then, I just dont know at this point. An since we wont find out till a couple of eons from now, the teams will be very diff by the time the BCS championship dawdles around.

Thats all. All I asked for is to name a conference that is better than the SEC. No one did because in my extraordinarily humble and modest opinion, there is not one. If one where to argue the Big12, at this current time is better as a conf. than the SEC, I would argue the opposite with reasons for my opinion.

Oklahoma/LSU
Mizzou/GA
Kansas/TN
Texas/FL
Texas Tech/Ark
Texas A&M/Auburn

A noble attempt. (And I am serious, a very good attempt)
TT, Texas and Texas ATM are just not good teams. Kansas... the jury is out. Arkansas (maybe Auburn), the weakest of that SEC bunch has the ability to take out the best Big 12 team (Oklahoma or Missouri). Its not true the other way around with TT, Texas,Texas ATM (and possibly Kansas since I have difficulty guaging this team).

TT surprises teams just as Hawaii, because they play such a novel type of offense. If one gets a deep team on defense, with the ability to subsititute consistently, especially in the secondary, you kill these teams like these.

And my good man... no way Texas could play with Florida. Florida would score 100 pts against Texas. Bad matchup. Georgia... I think .... Texas would be suited to play Auburn. And possibly Georgia. But NONE of the others. We would never stop them. They would never punt.
